My Story....
What I Have Learned and How I Got Here
I've learned a lot about myself throughout my pursuits in life. While my story isn't overly unique, it is unique to me just as your story is unique to you. Despite the uniqueness of our individualistic stories, there are universal commonalities that we all share.
I spent most of my life living in Lancaster, PA after being born in Marietta, GA. As the youngest of five, I watched the challenges that my entrepreneurial father experienced along with the blessings he received for his efforts. I witnessed the stress that financial matters can cause to relationships and the lengths at which parents are willing to walk in order to provide for their families. I learned a lot about what really matters in this life as well as lessons in how I wanted my life to be different.
I moved out on my own just after high school and tabled my motivations for further education in an attempt to dive into the restaurant industry. I was a partner in a bar and restaurant in my early twenties; an experience which was an education in itself. In my late twenties I partnered in my second restaurant location which provided a whole new set of lessons and challenges. I would later learn that although I experienced "success" during this season of life, I was living someone else's story.
As my hunt continued, I transitioned into a life in real estate; first in agency and then into investing. While my story isn't yet finished in real estate, and may never be finished, I have extracted a TON of good information from this current season of life. I have paid more attention to the substance of moments, the reason for pursuit and have created an ability to view life and circumstance from a completely different vantage point.
I learned that throughout my season as a restraunteur and my current season as a real estate investor that my targets were off. I learned that I was misaligned with what I truly needed to be happy. I learned that we can disguise and mask our needs with success and paper wins; all of which ultimately arrive at the same empty feeling. I have learned the power of my inner self with my faith being my greatest tool. I have learned the imperative nature of course correction and being intentional. I have learned that no matter the level of congruence between our inner self and external world, the planet continues to spin. Our runway will ultimately run out on this Earth. Will you be wishing you had more runway or will you have reached a level of content by living in alignment with your God given purpose?
Throughout my transition of finding a life where there is harmony between my internal self and my external world, I have found peace. I have found clarity. While I certainly experience my share of challenges and struggles, the perception of them has changed. My ability to slow the "game" of life down has enhanced the aroma of every day moments. I have been called to help others question their habits and every day life. I have been called to catalyze new beginnings and to wake up our dormant inner beings. I have been called to help distill fears and to help you tap into you!
